I would like to see a rematch, especially if Pac was fighting with an injury.

Floyd won clearly, but the fact of the matter is that a Pac fight is still the biggest fight for Floyd (and Manny) for his last fight. A rematch with Manny would end his career with the highest possible pay day.

Pac fought so ******, tbh. He bum rushed Floyd in straight lines all night and let Floyd dictate the pace all night. That was a terrible night for Roach, I have no idea what he was thinking. FLOYD neutralized Pac, of course, and played a major part in this..... but Roach/Pac made absolutely no adjustments, they fought as if they were fighting Rios.

There was absolutely no footwork from Pac, he threw combinations in spurts and there were far too many, and his approach to getting inside of Floyd's defense was lazy and sloppy. In a rematch I still pick Floyd, but there's NO way Pac could do any worse then he did Saturday night. Roach will have to work on Manny coming in at different angles and MAKE SURE that Pac throws far more combos then just doing it every other round or so.

Maybe it's Pacs age, or a terrible gameplan/night by Roach, or maybe it's the injury, and Floyd was better, Floyd IS better..... But the way they approached that fight was just awful and they basically minimized their (Pacs) chances of winning by fighting Floyd like he was a punching bag (Rios)

So I am guessing all of the excuses and crying from my facebook timeline have crossed over to this thread? I had $200 on Floyd and nobody, none of the "Manny fans" wanted it. One brave soul put $20 down and promptly lost it. Floyd showed he is a couple of levels above Manny Saturday night. His ability to adjust, defense, footwork, and jab gave Manny fits all night. The joke coach roach had no answer. I don't even remember him giving him any good advice on what to do in the fight. It was a clear win by Floyd. It is not even debatable.

I just hope that boxing fans hold manny accountable for this. His reluctance to engage, unwillingness to try and win, and the shameful and embarrassing excuse making afterwards hurt the sport.

For all floyd's ******ed money act, he fights to win everytime. He never is in it just for the check. Manny, who has always claimed not to be in it for the money, fought like he wanted the check and nothing else.

Who'd ever thought that manny would do that? Who'd ever thought he'd bring this much shame?

I guess all his other accomplishments will lessen this over time. I'm just really disappointed. I was counting on him to keep fighting.
I know you're usually harsh on Pacquaio, but I think you're going a bit too far.

The fight was a flop in terms of entertainment, and the excuse of "that's Mayweathers style, he's allowed to be boring" doesn't cut it.

This was boxings one chance to show the world what a great fight looks like, and both fighters ruined that chance with their unwillingness to engage, excessive headlocks, clinching and close to zero risk taking.

Pacquaio should've done more in the closing rounds, his team are idiots for not firing him up in the corner and letting him know he was losing. That's on him and his team, but please don't act like the responsibility of an exciting fight doesn't rest on the shoulders of BOTH fighters.

but he should have got ktfo trying to win.
This is exactly why it wasnt an exciting fight. The onus was never on Floyd to make it exciting.

He should of risked everything to win this fight. I really thought after the 4th round that the momentum of the fight shifted and we cold be in for a great one, but then followed it up by throwing less than 30 punches in round 5.

Yes it was all Floyd, Floyd was most of the time standing right in front of Manny pumping his jab, feinting, and Manny would simply not engage because Floyd nails him right a right hand 50% of the time.

Not a good look from him.

Pacquaio fans have had the worst 3 years. The two people they hate the most are Mayweather and Marquez.

One of them knocked him out and the other one schooled him

And I love it. They're going to hear it from me until the end of time, too. Clowns.
