My points are simple for this match up;
Manny must stay on the outside of Floyds lead foot and box as a southpaw should against a conventional boxer. He must attack Floyds left guard with his right hand. He must not step over early in the bout into Floyds right hand, NO squaring up at all! Use his hand speed and out punch (high rate) Floyd weither they land clean or not. Get in, get out and reset!!! If he starts with his BS feints he will end up like he was with Juan, Stopped! The idol feints must not be used tonite.
Floyd needs to gain position as Manny moves in, he can use a step over or his jab to reposition his lead foot. This will be a righty vs lefty boxing match at the beginning anything else would be ******.
I would love to see Floyd take center ring and counter from there but I'm pretty sure he'll continue his methods until something develops where its not effective. Everyone is considering Floyds right as the difference and it may be but I think his left hook will be the difference maker as it tries to nulify Manny's right hand. I can see the hook used against Manny's jab as Floyd slips left and lets it go. I see it underneath also with the right following.
If Manny makes mistakes like in his last Marquez bout he'll get stopped. If he boxes cleanly and smoothly without looking to load up he'll have a shot at a distance win.
If Floyd sits back and fights his signature fight he will loose a decision.
This fight must be won on offense and I think he can do it off Manny's offense.
Floyd NEVER punches with an opponent but if his normal methods fail he will need to become the leader.
I don't think Manny does well punching with Floyd, he's a small framed lightweight in with a big junior welter.
I like Manny by distance win or Floyd by KO!
I don't care for Floyds persona and his choice to "the Heel" it's been a huge set back for boxing! It worked business wise but weither you have 10 million or 350 million isn't important to me. He could have pulled this sport back to a certain respectabilty, he didn't! That in mind I'll root for the Pacman!
Hopefully they fight hard and to their abilities and remain safe throughtout the night. I hope they show respect after the fight as the two best competitors of the era!
I hope boxing fans on the forum don't write garbage of either man and they show respect. To degrade an opponent is degrading your favorite. When a strong well respected man is defeated that enhances the win. If he's degrade and disrespected the win means nothing.
I understand that fans hate each other but the fighters don't once the battle is done, take a lesson from the fighters!!!! Ring the damn bell, God bless.....
