These new super heavies versus the average Heavy are starting to become mismatches, I couldn't agree more. This is possibly the third fight in recent months to be considered a mismatc following Fury/Del and Wilder/Stiverne. Ustinov versus the victors of those said fights would be much more competitive i suppose.

Yes, that's why i'm pissed. And even if he was inactive, there's no excuse to show up with a belly like he did against journeyman Perkovic. I don't think it was only Universum's fault to be honest. If he looked like that, how hard did he train during his time off and how committed was/is he?

Well that's just it, he didnt train. Universum promised to destroy his career, they would not give him a fight as contractually obliged, you really need to go back on his fights and see the application and shape he was in before the Leapai fight and a year previously, he was in top shape.

If your career had been stalled a year, your dedication would suffer.no doubts.

Lets judge him when he returns, now he has supposedly been under a strict regime and in serious camps. The Leapai fight maybe came too soon after the Universum split, though K2 were offering there and then, I'm sure it could have been delayed unless it was the WBO pushing for a mandatory defence, as we know these defences can take two years or more to come around again with Wlad holding all his titles.

Had he have beaten Leapai we'd only be talking about how brutally he was dispatched like Leapai was, Boytsov simply hasn't the physical attributes to trouble this new breed of super heavy. He can however be involved in competitive match ups with the likes of Povetkin, Stiverne and Arreola, guys his own size. He is a pretty technical boxer with a lot of raw power.
