According to manager/promoter Vladimir Hryunov, he spoke to promoter Kalle Sauerland of Sauerland Event about the possibility of staging a co-promotion in late May in Sochi, where a heavyweight clash would take place between Denis Boytsov (35-1, 26KOs) and Alexander Ustinov (30-1, 21KOs).

Hryunov said: "Literally on Tuesday we talked to Kalle Sauerland. He will be my partner, we are going in the last week of May or first week of June to stage a great boxing show in Sochi. And he suggested a fight between Alexander Ustinov and Denis Boytsov."

I don't mind this matchup at all but I got to go with Ustinov if this fight does happen. he is too big & boytsov lost to alex leapai. You never know in the HW division because one punch can change anything. this is a crossroads fight as was said before so neither can afford to lose. I have always thought boytsov was overrated. I never saw him as anything more then a fringe contender who beats most of the C level journeymen. Ustinov has more experience & has a huge size advantage. He is slow & can be hit but can boytsov really hurt him?

To be fair to him he was an outstanding prospect before his lengthily lay off due to Universum. Upon his return he was blatantly unfit, he gassed after three rounds. It is widely documented he lost his way, finding himself on the Hamburg night life scene, he had a year inactivity before the Leapai fight and he is still young.

If he applies himself he may be a force yet, though I can't see the wisdom in moving him from Hamburg to Berlin of all places !

I doubt Boytsov could realy hurt that towering giant. It would be a lame ugly fight. It is always a pain in the ass to see a midget fighting a giant. Definately a 12 rounder that could go either way but not much action.

Whilst I agree it could be a crap fight stylistically, I just don't rate Ustinov at all. Now I have no reason to rate Boytsov any higher but I have seen his career and had high hopes of him before he fell of the wagon versus the limited and rather crude Leapai. It is a big if, but if Boytsov is conditioned and focused he can stop Ustinov
