i dont care much about the record or the level of opposition if the fighter puts on a good show. long as both fighters can kick an average joe's ass and the fight is longer than 1 round

but yeah, i know what ur talking about. but fighters back then had 100-200 professional fights. a high number of losses was expected, its the law of averages. if you have so many fights, ur bound to lose some of them.

low loss counts are expected today cuz today, fighters are such ******* that they finish their careers with less than 50 fights under their belt. do you think lennox lewis would be considered a great HW if he lost 20 of his 44 professional bouts?

losses count, whether we like counting them or not. a fighter whos 40-0 will definatley be held in higher regard than a fighter whos 35-20.

tell that to hbo with gatti

then you need to retire while you are on top

cuz comments like "I know it all" will soon start to ruin you too. Like a 1st loss.

How about Pantera Miranda? This guy is 26-0 23KOs coming off a big stoppage of Howard Eastman.
Hey, don't leave out the fact that 10 of the other people Miranda beat had 1 loss or less! (let's not talk about their wins though!)
On a serious note, can you think of a better upcoming fight that Miranda vs Abraham? 2 top undefeated contenders. Than the winner could fight the undefeated Taylor. Wow, that would be something.

very true, would be nice to see winner of Miranda/Abraham vs Taylor to decide a true World Middleweight Champion.
