  • Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao Scores First Point as PBA Player

He may be one of the best boxers in the world but Manny Pacquiao has finally scored his first point as a professional basketball player in the Philippines, four months after being drafted by a local team.

But it did little to douse criticism that the pint-sized guard does not belong on the court.

Pacquiao sank the second of two free throws after he was fouled 11 minutes into the match between his Kia Carnival team and the Purefoods Star Hotshots in the Philippine professional league on Wednesday.

LOL. If he is fighting Mayweather, he can't spend any time hooping.

Normally I'd say that people are overreacting but even I can't believe his team and Arum are letting him play basketball with a fight of this magnitude right around the corner...

I agree with you guys. Normally it would annoy me to read someone criticize an athlete playing another sport in their free time, but this is about to be the biggest fight of his life, I don't consider this free time, it should be time to grind in the gym

No it's nothing to do with not being in the gym

Manny always has 2 month training camps

Shouldn't change it all of a sudden

But to risk Injury is ******, just to play a few mins . Disgusting
