Max Herman, the manager of IBO/WBA/WBC-interim middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, is more optimistic that Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will face his boxer - but he doesn't have much faith in landing a fight with Miguel Cotto, who holds the full WBC middleweight championship.

This coming Saturday in Monte Carlo, Golovkin will face the WBC silver champion Martin Murray. The World Boxing Council has ordered Cotto to face the winner.

Of course, Cotto will either vacate or coax the WBC into another fight with someone other than GGG. I just don't see that fight ever happening, which I can't blame Cotto for, but he needs to relinquish the WBC belt if he doesn't intend on fighting GGG.
