Firstly it ain't just about KO ratios but wins, Middleweight isn't a particularly strong division but when comparing it to JMW, WW and Jr WW esp you're comparing apples and oranges in KO ratios - many of the fighters in the 140 - 154 range were scoring their KOs at lower weights or earlier in their careers but have slowed down, whereas most top 10 MWs are career 160 guys.
That's not to say their isn't a wealth of talent @140 - 154 - it is where the big $ fights are after all and guys will move up or drain for that reason (arguablly the monied divisions also provide the greatest incentive to pad records) just that a simple breakdown of career KO ratios is a fallacious way of comparing a divisions current relative strength.
