So although GGG's weakness is that he likes to take a punch to land one, he has nothing to worry about when taking that punch since he's fighting some of the relatively weakest punchers of pro boxing. GGG will leave himself open for Murray, purposely, with really nothing to worry about with Murray's 39% KO ratio. Just like with Geale, he gladly took his weak punches to land one of his hard counter punches.
Ah.. I figured you were going somewhere with that stats breakdown in your other thread..... seriously - I did try to say you can't use numbers like that to establish anything.

Firstly it ain't just about KO ratios but wins, Middleweight isn't a particularly strong division but when comparing it to JMW, WW and Jr WW esp you're comparing apples and oranges in KO ratios - many of the fighters in the 140 - 154 range were scoring their KOs at lower weights or earlier in their careers but have slowed down, whereas most top 10 MWs are career 160 guys.

That's not to say their isn't a wealth of talent @140 - 154 - it is where the big $ fights are after all and guys will move up or drain for that reason (arguablly the monied divisions also provide the greatest incentive to pad records) just that a simple breakdown of career KO ratios is a fallacious way of comparing a divisions current relative strength.

Ah ****it... I just got bored of my own post...

Hopefully he's not over-trained. 12 weeks is a long camp and it seems to me that anything over 6-8 weeks and guys come out tight and can't pull the trigger......

That could be very dangerous.....but I do like this fight. I think GGG will win but Murray is no joke.........no joke at all.......if Strum's people didn't own the belt ($$) at the weight for so long, he'd have at least gotten that title and if it weren't a 'homecoming celebration' with riot potential and instead, had fought Sergio in AC, he might have the lineal strap too......

      Too late now........LOL

No surprise that he is fighting Murray instead of Ward.
When was the last time Ward fought?

GGG reminds me of another abel sanchez fighter he had that was "feared" for his punching power.

Stevens? LMAO marcos primera is stevens first daddy. GGG is his step daddy lol
