What will spread out more? Stop being generic. You're making quite a statement here so actually qualify it with something other than "it'll be spread out more." You mean more boxing on TV? Yeah, that's the point.

          no.

good fights will be spread out over more cards rather than be in one good card.

Really? You have the bout sheets for 2015 already? By all means, share.

            • HBO is #1 for a reason. They knew when to cut the cord on Tyson and let him go to Showtime and then they did the same with Floyd... Look what Haymon and Schafer did to Showtime. Showtime was suppose to get Floyd and Golden Boy and Haymon. Well Canelo is back on HBO, so is Golden Boy... While at Showtime Haymon gave them Garcia and Peterson vs. Bums. Haymon doesn't believe in making big fights but rather easy fights... He is giving them a couple of good fights to sign the deal, after 3 months, he will go back to Garcia vs. Salka and any good fight will be on PPV. Boxing on TV meant something in the 70s and 80s when most people had 5 to 8 channels, no internet and Youtube. Now people have 100s of channels, Youtube, Netflix, and etc. Nobody new will watch these fights because unlike the 80s a casual fan can switch to Netflix or watch one of 7 ESPNs and 9 HBOs. If these fighters are known people will watch just like on HBO and Showtime. If they are not known people will use one of another countless options and if something happened watch it on Youtube the next day. After scaming Showtime, I'm amazed that these networks allowed Haymon to scam them but then again they renew a lot of crapy shows... Haymon is bad for boxing, wants to do for boxing what he has done for Mayweather, Showtime, and Golden Boy. I give this crap 2 years. Just like what happened with Showtime.... HBO must be kicking back and laughing.

This is blatantly FALSE. Tyson was _THE_ biggest draw in boxing when he left HBO and there was LOTS of distance between him and the #2 draw. Tyson went on to set the PPV record on *Showtime*. Does anyone really think HBO wanted to miss out on that money?

Tyson cut HBO, NOT the other way around...

Tyson dumped HBO. He had the same beef with the network as did Mayweather and countless others - Larry Merchant. He took his act to Showtime (or technically King took him there), and HBO spent the next several years begging hm back, before AND after his prison stint.

Last year, boxing ****** and especially on Showtime. The two years prior, people couldn't stop singing the praises over what Showtime/Golden Boy/Haymon were producing.

As for the networks "allowing Haymon to scam them" - these are all time-buy slots. Why the hell wouldn't they take that chance? It's literally not costing them anything to show boxing under his current deal.

You don't know that nobody new will watch these fights. More people watched Cunningham/Adamek II and Santa Cruz-Guevara than any other fight that year (2012) when they were on network TV. More people watched Mayweather's piece of ***** documentary on CBS than any other fight in 2013. So right there, more people are watching than is the case with boxing on subscription channels.

As far as having so many other options (ESPN, HBO, Netflix, YouTube, etc.) - the same could be said for any other sport, hell for anything else on TV. There are a ton of ways to get music these days, doesn't mean they're going to stop making CDs any time soon. Movies are easier than ever to access, yet lo and behold movie theatres still exist.
