I love how Mayweather convieniently ducks the best welterweights for year after year for as far back as everyone can remember. Then he cherry picks the victor ortizes and the Robert Guerreros of the world, barely does enough to win each round a lot of fights while holding and running, and calls himself tbe because of his protected 0 against less than the best available opposition. Marquez, Pacquiao, and Tim Bradley are the top welterweights and Mayweather can go fight a Victor Ortiz style, slow fighter every fight and call himself the best every. While Manny fights barrera x2 morales x3 marquez x4 and Bradley x2, on top of all of floyds best wins who pacquiao beat in addition to the aforementioned all time greats, Floyds fans laughingly cite zab Judah and Diego Corrales as his best wins. Those guys are borderline hall of fame/ certainly not mentioned anywhere near anyones 150-200 best greatest all time list. Manny has already beaten a bunch of elites, Floyd hasn't plain and simple. Manny is proven on the biggest of stages, I don't think Floyd has yet.

Every other fight Manny schools everyone, knocks guys out, beats peoples faces into a pulp. All elite level boxers. His wins against Bradley pretty much prove hes still the best welterweight. Bradley at the time was the second best welterweight and p4p number 3, so therefore Pacquiao schools him and is back to being the number 2. He beat the crap out of Algieri too. Algieri has a style similar to Mayweathers. Algieri was very fast and elusive, and Manny still found a way to land crazy power shots and blistering combonations. Mannys track record speaks for itself. Manny is way more impressive each and every fight, and against what I feel has been superior oppositions than Floyd has faced. Mayweather barely does enough to get by each round sometimes. Has a lot of close fights. Manny dominates every point of every fight, and just so happens to get ko'd by a guy on peds with angel Heredia in his corner. Manny has a great track record of beating elite fighters like Floyd Mayweather into pulp.
Even Mannys trainer knows who is the best .

Styles make fights. Both guys present the other guy with challenges. That's one of the many reasons people have been clamoring for this fight.
Floyd Sr has always been adamant that he doesn't like his son fighting southpaws. Last time Jr fought one that had good handspeed, he had trouble early and was even knocked down. Pac is several levels above Judah both physically and mentally whereas Floyd is nowhere near as physically capable as he was in 2006. He'll have a hell of a time avoiding that quick, crisp, powerful straight left from Pac.
On the flip side, Pac has historically (though not as of late actually, barring the flash KO by Marquez) struggled somewhat with counter punchers who fight off the back foot. He has also been susceptible to right hands and Floyd has one of the best and most accurate in the business.
Personally, I think Floyd will have a tougher time figuring out Pac than vice versa. I know that's not the popular opinion, but I believe it's one that Floyd himself holds which is a huge reason he has feared for his health for so long. Everyone who has tried to walk Manny down since his rise from featherweight has been absolutely mangled and ripped apart. Those who thought they could simply fight on the back foot/shell up and throw an odd punch here or there were wiped out on the scorecard and several tasted the canvass a bunch of times.
The only person who has given him issues is Marquez who ENGAGES Manny, challenges him, times him, and throws combinations... not one pot shot every now and then. And even then how many times has he been dropped by Manny? He was getting wrecked in their latest fight before that 1 in a million shot. Floyd fights nothing like that. So it will be interesting to see what his game plan would be. Trying to pressure or walk Pac down is suicide. Backing up/Shelling up and not being active enough will guarantee a landslide decision for Manny even if he only lands like 20% of his punches. He'd win on volume and activity alone. If he comes out like he did against Maidana the first time and lays on the ropes all night... that's gonna be a KO/TKO victory for Manny.
Floyd is on the record he is all about working smart, not working hard these days. But he's a smart enough tactician to know he has to be far more active than he's been in almost a decade in order to win... at age 38.
I sincerely hope this fight happens.

Chino is no better a fighter than either Rios or Algieri. And Bradley is the best opponent either guy has fought in the past few years. Manny spent his 2014 clowning previously undefeated fighters while Floyd had to fight Margarito lite twice before convincing anyone he could clearly beat him.
