Haymon is really putting HBO and non-afiliated promoters on an island. I don't understand why the other side isn't being more proactive...putting boxing on TNT for example would be something top rank- golden boy - k2 - main events could collaborate on...otherwise (if Haymon is able to get a couple big tv deals that he doesn't have to pay for) its only a matter of time before the are irrelevant in the United States, at least.

Being saying it. Promoters should concentrate on promotion. I don't see fighters signing with promotional companies in the next couple of years if this works out so promotional companies right now should start getting in good and be the promoter for these fights.Haymon is really putting HBO and non-afiliated promoters on an island. But with today's technology and everything being on social media promotional companies might become a thing of the pastComment

Exactly. None of these are good fights imo. I doubt Chavez Jr. will even happen, since Arum said he would enforce his contract with Chavez. Maybe they bought out his contract...Comment

From my understanding Top Rank would have to get a special court injunction to stop the Chavez fight which would be difficult to get...and if they want Haymon to sign off on the Pacquaio fight, then they probably won't go for it anyway.
But the court case will proceed and Top Rank will probably win a lot of money from Chavez next year....but haymon could care less about a couple million dollars if it means making a power move against top rank and taking chavez from hbo.Comment
