Barry Jones and John Rawling from Boxnation are the worst, but since you only have Rawling up there I voted for him.

They're flat out terrible. They really bring the quality of the broadcast down and it's a shame. God knows how they're still in their jobs.

When Kenny Rainford guest commentated for Tuesday Night Fights

He was terrible, just atrocious. And sounded really gay, too.

Adam Smith on Sky Sports is unbearable for me

In fact I feel like the entire lot on Sky Sports are a bunch of salesmen with no interest in calling a fight impartially or offering any insight, but in fact set out with the express intention to misinform the viewer

I used to not like Jim, but I've grew to love his commentary. When my favourite fighters retired, I realised I only thought he was biased because I was biased. All of them commentators are good. Lampley and Bernstein are my favourite along with Atlas.

Cossell all time worst, Merchant tried to be as "All about me" as Cossell but his lack of talent in even that drives him down to 2nd worst. I leave fighters off the worst list, 2nd job for them, so not held to same standard.

May not be popular, but to me Al Bernstein best of all time.

Paulie Malinaggi gets my vote now that Jim Watt has called it time on his career.

I agree with that. The only one i really like that sometimes appears on Sky is Matthew Macklin, he says it how it is but he's rarely on.

They completely misinform the viewers. Last week they were trying to make out like Crolla had been on a run of defeating elite fighters before fighting Linares. They were trying to make out like Barroso and Perez were top notch world class fighters when in fact they were fringe contenders but if you didn't know any better then Sky would have you believe they were elite lightweights.

I really hope Wlad smashes AJ. I have no problem with AJ at all, but just to see the faces of the Sky lot. It will be priceless. They're building this fight up to be some huge super fight and completely forgetting to mention and disregarding the fact Fury already beat Wlad. It is a big fight but be honest about things.

Adam Smith remains fairly impartial and tries to avoid picking sides from most of the time I've bothered listen to him, he isn't as bad as the guys I could mention over him.
Paulie Malinaggi - Biased, talks way too much, he talks for the sake of talking his segments could be 100 words short but the guy loves the sound of his annoying voice, and sometimes he doesn't really call what is happening.
Teddy Atlas - Bit like Paulie Malignaggi in many ways
Steve Lillis - Mr biased, showed his true colours fanboying over who he wants to win instead of what he was really seeing, he's done this several times before.

AND the fighter who is commentating that I am actually enjoying his work, CARL FROCH!!
Of all people, hated him as a fighter but he has been doing a good job so far, he gets the balance just right and gives useful information without blabbing over people and talking for the sake of it.

Yeah Macklin is alright but I guess it would be a conflict of interest for him to commentate a lot of the time since he's financially invested in the business now. Jamie Moore is OK too

They also claimed that Linares was a top five P4Per at one point, but as usual all of the most egregious commentary moments were Katie Taylor related. They were blatantly denying observable reality with their claims about the supposedly wild crowd that only Adam Smith could hear during her fight. I think at one point he listed a Taylor fight alongside Hatton vs Tszyu as an example of a great atmosphere in a British arena. It was actually astounding in its brazenness

I have mixed feelings about that fight because on the one hand, as you say, it would be hilarious to see the hype unravel before Hearn and Smith's eyes, but on the other hand I do feel like AJ is a net positive to British boxing

He can certainly be annoying, but its from his background of coming up as an commentator back in the Pride days in Japan. Everything, commentating wise, is over the top there. He use to work with Bas Ruten back then and sometimes I thought Bas was just going to reach over and smack the **** out of him lol.

Anyways my vote is Jim Watt.
