Comments Thread For: Hennessy: DeGale's Style is All Wrong For Carl Froch

Promoter Mick Hennessy was at one time the sole promoter of both Carl Froch and James DeGale. Both fighters are now represented by Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport.

Late last year, DeGale became the mandatory challenger to Froch's IBF super middleweight title. The fight was not meant to be, as Froch vacated his belt. Now DeGale has been ordered to face Andre Dirrell, with Hearn attempting to make the fight for April 25th in the UK.

Hennessy recently gave his thoughts on a potential contest between Froch and DeGale.

Headline a bit misleading as the complete quote has him saying Froch would get DeGale late on due to power and mental toughness.

Right. Froch also fought Bute -- who (at that stage) was much better than DeGale in terms of movement, speed and punching power... We all saw what happened...
I don't think that Froch is scared by DeGale; I only think that Froch is a stubborn guy and that he pursues only the fights he wants -- namely Chavez Jr, in his case...
