It's criminal how bad this guy gets screwed over. While I think he should be the top dog at 140 with his performance against Garcia, let's not forget that he was beat by Alvarado and freakin Karim Mayfield.

That aside, I would love a match up with Lucas.

            No he's really not

Even if your still hung up on the Garcia fight and think his jab did enough to take the belt from the champ in his fabricated comi g home fight he still lost to Benavidez.

I don't mind Herrera, don't like his style at all but the only belt he should have is the people champ belt and Unfortunatly it's invisible.

Except most people felt Herrera won that too.

He's the champ in all but name, far more of a champ than Lamont Peterson is, or 143lb Garcia who he beat in the view of most.

Have you watched the fight? How did you score it ?

Ive watched it twice scored it both times for Benavidez. 117-111 maybe a little to wide but the right man won the fight.

It was close and Hererra has a almost impossible style to look good against but a majority of his punches had no power behind them and add to it he doesn't have a name he is in the position where he needs to convincingly win and against Garcia and Benavidez he didn't he just made it competitive.

I could care less what The media or fans say I think most have a wrong perception of the fight because Lampmey did a horrible biased job announcing the fight and because Hererras become the lovable loser to hardcore fans so any close fight people are going to feel he deserves it.

He's not the champ though in anything he's a tough out that's it ,his people champ belt isn't something you can hang on the mantle because it doesn't exist.

Lamont's irrelevant Garcia should already have his belt but if he feels he wants to hold on to a belt he shouldn't have then so be it. It'll be interesting to see how he loses it though

Herrera/Benavides was a close fight and in my opinion Benavides pulled out the decision
