Toney is now fighting as a heavyweight and weighed 237 lbs. for Saturday's draw with Hasim Rahman. "He's welcome to come back down to super-middle and challenge for his old title - which at least I can proudly fit around my waist - but I don't think anyone can drag him out of his training camp at McDonalds and get him into serious training in a boxing gym," said Calzaghe. "I would love to kick his arse now because I just missed out on doing it in the 90's when I was coming through but I'm sure as a young kid I would still have knocked him about. He should lose the flab and fight me because he is still a name in the sport and it would look great on my record next to a W and KO. Instead of doing weights with Twinkie bars and drinking Kool Aid he should get onto the salad, pasta and water and whip himself into shape because he'd need to be against me."

man, This is a joke. Theres no way Toney would ever make super middleweight and Calzaghe knows that. AT least call him out at cruiser or something so theres some credibility. Anyway Calzaghes fast hands and flurry of punches would be interesting vs toney
Joe can say whatever he wants cause he is the man. Unless anyone can prove otherwise, just stfu

Definitely, but it is clearly never gonna happen or if it did, it would have to be up at light heavy at least.

Joe is going for the Tarver approach. Challenge anyone and everyone that is not on his weight class.

just as long as he doesn't get all "Antonio Tarver" with his call-outs, he's fine in my book..

not really because Tarver's never fought at 147 or 140, Toney has fought at 168 and below

It is ****** though, but the fight could happen just not at 168

If Calzaghe wants to fight Toney, he should move up to Heavyweight.

Jones and Toney both did, and they came from a lower weight than Joe.

But that would involve backing up this non sense, so the chances of that are pretty slim.

He could also do it much easier. Fly to LA, and show up at the Wild Card gym saying he's looking for Toney. That's exactly what Danny Green did, and Toney got in the ring with him.

The fact that neither of these things would ever happen make Calzaghe a ***** for saying what he's said here.

Some of you are too quick to judge - perhaps that was a reply to a particular question he was asked? The press do it all the time, ask a question then quote the answer out of context.
