Today's Feather scene requires that you **** and Box, if you are to be competitive. Hamed will not survive, because he's been exposed in an ugly amnner as being very mentally soft. The result was obvious agianst Calvo, when he was very reserved and uncommitted. Hamed had figured-out very quickly after (and during) the Barrera bout that he didn't like fighting guys with a first-tier combination of heart, skill and power. Boil it all down and Hamed was bullied by Barrera, and bullies don't like to be bullied, they like to be in control. Hamed has lost control.

Hamed probably retains some good skills, but his mind is now playing tricks on him. He knows more than anything, the he lacks the heart required to be competitive when facing a skilled hungry guy with some chin. He'd better choose wisely in this return bout.

By the way, I wonder if Hamed still has some fight obligations to HBO?

So true. Marquez's apparent avoidance of Pacman is nothin' when compared to Hamed's refusal to face Marquez. Hamed didn't try to make excuses about the purse either, he just stayed away. Over a two-year period Marquez's camp was after Hamed, but the Prince stayed with his mandatories. Good thing.

Hamed knows this histiry **** plays with a guy's head when he trying to decide about a "comeback". Hamed knows he's mentally shot and can't bring the toughness required to play with today's Feather's.

            re

Hamed isn't going to come back.

If Nas fought Marquez when Nas was big, I think Nas would've won by UD. Marquez would wait on Nas to attack and Nas would wait on Marquez to open up. Marquez won't open up and so Nas wouldn't attack. So it'd basically would be a stalemate and if it went to the cards, I would have to say that the judges would've gave it to Hamed cause he's the bigger name.

If they fought today or sometime in the future, Marquez would win by UD in a boring boring fight.

Naseem will comeback and take his place again, he just needs to work on his weeknesses a little bit. No one in the lower wieghts can match his power.

NASEEM HAMED claims he is ready to end a three-year exile from the ring by making a comeback this summer, writes HARRY TALBOT.

The former world featherweight champion has not fought since he laboured to a pedestrian win over Spanish journeyman Manuel Calvo at the London Arena in May 2002.

But Naz insists he will go into serious training after returning from a break in the Yemen.

He revealed: “I have not said anything publicly until now but I’m planning to fight again in the summer.

“We have not selected who my opponent is going to be just yet but the fight will take place in the Middle East — and that’s definite.

“I’m training in Sheffield and I’m looking forward to the future.”

Hamed, 30, suffered the only defeat of his 37-fight career when he lost on points to Marco Antonio Barrera in Las Vegas in 2001.

Well here we go again . . . yeah please Mr. HAMED by all means. Maybe this time you can fight JMM and settle the issue of you ducking him

And that will give JMM another reason to duck the Pacman
