He wouldnt get a fight with hatton, he's been out of boxing for 3 years and hatton will be coming off a title fight.
I seriously doubt naz will be up to much when (if) he makes his comeback, and fighting at light welter his speed will be poor, and that was always his best asset.

I don`t know. Hamed in his prime would weight drain from about 135 to make the featherweight limit ( 126 ). As people get oder they naturally get heavier so the 14 pounds weight increase might not effect his speed too much, i think the speed is likely to be effected more by rust and age. The power i believe still could be there physically but as we all remember watching hamed`s last figt against that Spanish guy, he didn`t have the conifidence in that fight due to the beating he took from Barrera. If hamed`s power is more psychological than one might appreciate, coupled with his big height and reach disadvantages at light welter, Hamed could be in allot of trouble!

He sure is, and if he does comeback, I would LOVE to see him fight Marco again. I dislike Hamed. Skilled, but so full of himself that he might be, well, you know......

          its load of bull****.
Hamed is old and fat, he wont be back in any major capacity, as he says he will be fighting in the middle east in some kind of exhibition bout then maybne, cos thats where he will get adulation and support.
He would just laughed at in the UK now.
As for him fighting hatton dont be so daft. He couldnt handle two rounds with hatton.
He has been out of the ring for so long, I really doubt if he will come back at all, ill believe it when I see it and these rumours are constantly popping up every 3-4 months, Hamed was quoted saying he was coming back when Amir Kahn got silver in the olympics, has he no.
He hasnt even been in a gym.
His idea of training these days is walking to burger king.
Dont believe any of it its bollox. Odious little turd that he is.

first off, he won't come back, he's too f**ckin lazy to get into fighting shape, i heard he was 12st last year.
second, if he comes back at 140, he's only 5ft 3"! he'll get his ass handed to him. he was always too short even at 126, thats why most (not all, i admit) of his opponents were moving up from 122. even mab got the shot cos he is smaller than morales.
he says he's coming back every year, last year it was brodie. he'll get in the gym, huff and puff for a few days and give up, i'll put money on it.

NASEEM HAMED claims he is ready to end a three-year exile from the ring by making a comeback this summer, writes HARRY TALBOT.

The former world featherweight champion has not fought since he laboured to a pedestrian win over Spanish journeyman Manuel Calvo at the London Arena in May 2002.

But Naz insists he will go into serious training after returning from a break in the Yemen.

He revealed: “I have not said anything publicly until now but I’m planning to fight again in the summer.

“We have not selected who my opponent is going to be just yet but the fight will take place in the Middle East — and that’s definite.

“I’m training in Sheffield and I’m looking forward to the future.”

Hamed, 30, suffered the only defeat of his 37-fight career when he lost on points to Marco Antonio Barrera in Las Vegas in 2001.
should be nice, another good addition to the growing rivalry of featherweights...

The sport has been better off without Hamed.
                    I certainly haven't missed him.

If he can't come in under 140, he should not even bother coming back at all.
He'll be horrendous at that weight.

I used to love watching Hamed fight. A very colorful figure in the sport! But I cannot see him coming back, fighting like he did. His lightning speed and good reflexes would not be there anymore. He might still have his power, but look at Tyson; Power alone will not bring back the glory days...

If he could come back and be as good as he once was, I would love to see him again. But considering that he won´t, he best stay retired.
