Top Rank kept this bum relevant far longer than he should have been. If his promoter had it their way he would have never fought Martinez, who was on another level than Jr. at the time.

Just another from a long list of unsatisfied clients: Oscar, Floyd, Cotto, Gamboa, Mikey Garcia, and Rigo, to name a few. Cotto is his own man now. He can choose to co-promote with anyone. I haven't heard if Mikey has re-signed yet, but it does not negate the fact that he was in litigation with TR just a few months ago. Arum develops fighters, then they ask to see the books, and then bad things happen. Would you rather have Haymon's roster or Arum's roster? Chavez Jr. would have fought GGG if he didn't have to sign an extension. Those extensions seem to be the problem!
