  • Comments Thread For: Julio Chavez Jr. Blames His Career Issues On Top Rank

Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has blames promoter Top Rank for the ups and downs of his boxing career.

Chavez and Top Rank are currently involved in a legal fight over the Mexican boxer's promotional contract. Last year, Chavez claimed to be a free agent and signed on with manager Al Haymon.

Top Rank filed a lawsuit, claiming Chavez was still obligated to them for one more fight.

Chavez can't blame all of his problems on Top Rank. The boxer has had struggles with his weight, failed two drug tests for banned substances (marijuana and diuretic) and got arrested for driving while under the influence.

What a fcuking chump. Without top rank this guy is a zero. Good chin thought, would have been fun seeing it smashed by ggg. But he doesn't deserve that much money, hooefully he loses to Fonfara for much less. Fonfara is no great shakes, but bigger and better than Vera, Zbik, Vanda who all lost gift decisions to this guy

agreed 100% - why the **** does froch want to fight chavez

          only one reason

          easy fight big money

no disrespect to froch but he's slowly becoming a coward since Groves checked his chin

why no discussions with GGG - that will truly test him

Yes Chavez, top rank and Bob arum are to blame for all your issues. They put that blunt in your mouth, and they supersized all the burgers that you ordered. If he thinks that he's going to win against the 82 year old lawyer, who's been at the top of his game, before Jr was even floating in his fathers nutsack,he'd better smoke a fat one, because he's in for a big surprise.

Froch has earned the right to choose whoever he wants for his final fight. You can't call a guy who fought so many top fighters back to back a coward.

Andre Ward called out Chavez too. Does that make him a coward?
