Cotto fighting Lara according to Telemundo PR

Canelo was given a ****-load of credit for taking on Lara. Same should be applied to Cotto. A controversial loss to Canelo shouldnt deminish Lara as a tough, worthy opponent. Interesting how the same fans applauding Alvarez' ballsy decision to take on Lara are now ****ting on Cotto.

I wouldn't even see it as an upset though. Lara is a damn good boxer as we all know, and I honestly can see either guy taking this one. I doubt it happens since it seems DeCubas Jr. is the only speaking on the subject and we haven't heard anything from Cotto's side. Would be a great fight though, hopefully it does happen.

It was disappointing that Cotto v Canelo didn't go through. Boxing never goes according to what fans 'think', at least not for the most part.

I'll take that one. Although GGG would probably have his way with Lara. If Lara was a natural 160 pushing 168., I can see him giving Golovkin fits.

Decubas talks alot of smack and has been a good mouthpiece for Lara, but I doubt Cotto would back down due to that. At least I hope.

Actually Cotto vs GGG. A real boxing fan wouldn't approve of Cotto making title defenses against fighters in lower divisions at catchweights.

Doubt it, Cotto can't be that dumb right? I mean might as well just fight Golovkin and go out like a warrior and get massive respect losing fighting the best like Hopkins did fighting Kovalev, Lara would be the Austin Trout fight all over again.
