I don't think so. What if he loses? Which is possible. That's no way to say FU to Canelo. Especially when you rejected making the second biggest fight of the year. Cotto declining to make a fight with Canelo was more like a big FU to the fans.

He didn't decline the fight. Canelo walked away. Cotto can lose and still sell tickets. It's been proven over and over again.

He's a shot caller in this business. He doesn't need the money so he can pick and choose his spots on his terms.

Canelo fans are mad that canelo walked away, is now gonna fight kirkland on may 9th. Which would be the following week when the replay of the possible floyd-pacquiao fight also airs. Now they're salty lara might get the cotto fight and not their precious canelo.

Good chance Cotto loses and it's not a big $ fight. Think he'll go with Bradley he has a better chance and probably make more $

But if the options are Lara or Bradley its still 20x better then who Canelo or GGG are fighting next.
