An elbow injury forced 'The Cobra' to put off plans for a Las Vegas clash against Julio Chavez Jr and the 37-year-old described an alternative fight against Hopkins as a 'lose-lose situation', sparking a fiery response from the former undisputed middleweight champion.

Froch put his cowardice on full display after his loss to Andre Ward. He has not attempted to seriously negotiate a rematch and believes he's the A side. Even though he got his ass handed to him by the winner of the Super Six, the #1 guy at 168 and Ward is still undefeated.

Froch is a PUNK. Always has been. His career highlights are Groves and Taylor. SMH

His saving grace is a iron chin and a magnetic DOUCHE BAG persona. LOL

The press tour would probably be better than the fight, that said Froch hasn't the strength and power that Kovalev has and B-hop got through that .... just.
B-hop as we know is the trickiest around always tuff to beat even at the tender old age of 50 and my thinking is this one element frightened Froch off as a loss to him would unhinge his fine record and scupper all the Calzaghe comparisons that seem to matter so much to Carl.
Stranger things have happened and the Chavez plan could go out the window when Chavez fights Fanfara next !

Froch already lost to Kessler so how would that even matter? Froch just doesn't want to fight a desperate old man coming off a 12 round raping for no money. He has nothing to gain from the fight.

A valid point by B-Hop. Froch could not handle losing to someone Calzaghe beat years ago. Fair enough, it’s all about legacy at the end of your career. Carl should be more honest about his reasons for not fighting though. Hopkins is still willing an able, so saying he’s too old is total BS.

With that said, Hopkins needs to retire.
Why does Hopkins need to retire?

He lost a decision to arguably the #1 fighter at 175. Overall, he's lost only 3 fights in the last decade. And fact is he's been past his prime for over a decade.

He deserves a fight with any of the top dogs around his weight class. He probably still whopps Froch even at 50 years old. LOL

                  Chill out man.
More or less in passing? Twas frock who initiated the whole thing by at first saying a Vegas fight with Hopkins is something that would really excite him, and then tried to backpedal when he realized the old man probably has a good chance of beating him to a bloody pulp. I personally think the cobra would win pretty easily and would be a good win for his legacy.i could understand him wanting to wait until Hopkins is coming off a good first, but If he does that and still ducks him it's obvious hes just scared. #war Hopkins #fight hopkins

Hopkins is all wrong for Froch far too many ring smarts, this ends up a one sided schooling.

I know Froch lost to kessler, Carl losing to B. would be a lot worst for his careerer than the close Kessler loss.Carl is more than likely regretting ever mentioning it.
