Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is doing everything possible to get Andre Dirrell (24-1, 16KOs) to travel across the ocean to face Olympic gold medal winner James DeGale (20-1, 14KOs) in a showdown for the vacant IBF super middleweight title. The title was vacated last week by Carl Froch, who refused to face mandatory challenger DeGale.

Hearn is negotiating with Al Haymon, manager of Dirrell. If Hearn has his way, he would like to stage Dirrell-DeGale on April 25th at the O2 Arena in London.

Andre Dirrell is a massive threat to anyone if he can hold it together mentally.

That is a big "if" though.

With Dirrells limited opposition lately, it's hard to get a read on what he has left. IMO, if he still has 80% of what he had 4-5 years ago, that will be enough to beat DeGale

Depends on how he is.

If this was the Dirrell from before the Abraham incident then I would have him as the heavy favourite. However, the current comeback Dirrell is untested against even decent opposition and while he still looks fast and talented, his chin comes with a lot of doubt and he'll be even more dodgy as far as mentality goes.

I think Dirrell is a bit overrated, he basically made his name off two fights, a controversial defeat against Froch and a controversial DQ win against Abraham.

I see nothing else of note on his record and his recent performances have been poor.
