Comments Thread For: Chris Arreola To Return To Action on Berto-Lopez Bill

BoxingScene.com has learned that Chris Arreola will make his ring return March 13 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. The two-time heavyweight title challenger will appear on the non-televised portion of a card topped by gym stablemate Josesito Lopez in a dangerous crossroads fight with Andre Berto, which kicks off Al Haymon’s forthcoming monthly series on Spike TV.

An opponent has not yet been named for Arreola (35-4, 31KOs), who hasn’t fought since a knockout loss to Bermane Stiverne in their rematch last May.

I understand Chris probably has to fight to pay the bills. But he not a serious contender for a title. He's one of those guys on the edge who can win fights against lower grade HWs but doesn't have the class to beat the top guys

He's in that Carlos Takam, Tyson Fury, Manuel Charr level of fighter.

I doubt he is as good as Fury is. He is about the level of Takam or Charr, he might even be a shade better than Charr. He is going to be a gate keeper for up and coming fighters soon I look for him to be a foil for an Andy Ruiz type in the near future.

He isn't even on their level... well maybe he beats Charr. Stiverne ended Arreola as a top contender.
