Nice display of bias by the Cotto nut-hugger. I'm of the opinion that they both have to step up their game, but at least Hatton is trying to step up.

Agreed, this is a bias comparison. They both have an ok record but Hatton stands out with the Kostya win. Hopefully we will see them fight better opposition or hopefully each other.

Exactly - Cotto is a really exciting fighter but I think their respective records are both mediocre thus far, with KT the exception on Hattons that gives him the edge right now.

And it doesn't look like Cotto's likely to step it up anytime soon, I'm interested to see which way his career goes now.

As for Hatton, leaving Warren doesn't look like such a good idea right now.....no opponent, no US exposure, no superfight looming.

I dunno they both havent had a real tough opponent so i can't really test who is better till i see they're full capabilities

Thanks for the summary Brelampago!!! It was clear that you were twisting things a little in favor of Cotto, but the facts speak for themselves. Both guys need to find bigger fights soon, and unfortunately neither will do so with the next fight (unless we get a surprise from Hatton). Hopefully they will fight each other before long!!

if hatton gets this fight w/ collazo locked and loaded - helps out his case. cotto NEEDS to secure a fight w/ jlc or another big name, thats NOT coming from 135, of course for the exception of jlc since hes just a big guy and having fought before at 147.

I think that they will end up fighting each other at 147...

That fight is offically off. Collazo broke his hand in training. The next available option for Hatton now is either N'Dou or Harris.

LOL. Its Juan Lazcano that broke the finger in training, not Collazo.
