Why do I get the whiff in this thread of 'If Leonared a bonafied ATG in many eyes can do it and people call it masterful boxing then my idol Floyd shouldn't be called a runner'. This thread stinks of a scheme to try and justify what pretty boy has done.

Floyds a runner boxer and so is Leonard. Only difference is Leonard would go to toe with anyone because he had that pride. Floyd won't, he has no pride, he's all about money, his brand, and his record.

I don't feel comfortable calling it either. Leonard wasn't really running, but I can't call it master boxing. The reason people are still so confused about Duran quitting and hold it against him so badly is because the fight was very much up in the air at that point. Hard to call it master boxing when the fight was close.

SRL wasn't running; he was boxing. I have no issue with Floyd's style either. But SRL had plenty of punching power that he applied in his fights. Floyd lacks such power.

Why stand and engage when it's to your disadvantage? The job is to win the fight, Leonard did. Duran's job was to cut him off and make him fight, he didn't.
