Not really. In fact, all the pundits like Al Bernstein and Malignaggi were saying Brook was a tough cat. Paulie and Devon - Porter's last two opponents even picked Brook to win, even if they were alone.

Marquez was clearly playing to the crowd. He and his trainer has been talking about Brook in the last couple of months. They clearly know him.

Of course, they have to sell the fight as being legitimate but Brook was supposed to be a showcase fight for Porter. He wasn't top billing on his own merit.

That he himself made a very big deal out of fighting the below average Julio Diaz and could pack out an arena in Kell Brook's hometown, despite it not being packed out.

He's now had two fights against another two slightly above average opponents, one of which got hammered by the guy Brook beat and Brook's not on his level?

With that logic why not go back say 7 fights ago when was a Unified champion of the world and main eventing Vegas, oh that's right he did just that in his last bout at MGM this time, but still your 3 fights ago comment doesn't seem to make sense.

Khan did get a decent enough crowd like 9000 people for the Julio Diaz bout.

I don't believe Khan's b.s. over Brook not being on his level as it's obvious and I doubt he believes it himself, it is just posturing. Khan will fight Brook when all big names get signed to bouts other than him.

You're right Collazo's best win was a guy I'd have to look up, but he in many people's eyes beat Hatton and quite easily Berto does show he was a very good fighter.

So, putting the two together and saying that is still less than beating Porter is a bit odd.

Also Porter beat a 33 year old Malignaggi who is over the hill, not the 29 year old coming off of Juan Diaz win that Khan wrecked way back in 2009. So, Porter himself had one good win himself ie Alexander.
