If Wilder can make sufficient improvements in his game, he has a chance against Povetkin purely because of the size advantage - he couldn't do much at all v Wlad (ok, clinching played a big part) but the height disadvantage bothered him. If Wilder could box on the outside he could win, doubt he stops Povetkin though who has a solid chin and heart. Perhaps he could drop him but Wilder at this stage would probably be stopped in the mid to late rounds.

That's pretty much how I see this right now. Of course things can.change in the next few months.

        Sounds deserving, right?
Perez is very fortunate. I don't see anything that makes him deserve this elimination fight. Povetkin should be the mandatory alone.

            I would enjoy a Takam-Perez rematch personally.

It really depends what mindset Mike Perez takes to the fight he could upset both Povetkin and Wilder but on the other hand stink the place out and lose on points.

That fight would actually make sense if Povetkin wasn't ducked by Wilder. Then the winner of Povetkin-Wilder could have defended v Takam/Perez winner, Wlad could have taken care of Fury, and Wlad could fight probably Povetkin in a unification.

Or perhaps Perez could fight Stiverne, or Takam v Stiverne with the current schedule.
