Wow, what a fight coming up! FOTY on paper, and I don't expect it to be anything less than fireworks. I'm glad this one is on HBO cause I'm not sure the mainstream is ready for this yet...

I could see this one ending early in Provodnikov's favor. But I could also see Matthysse getting a stoppage in the mid to late rounds. And, if it comes down to the championship rounds...

It's a fight that's just to close to call. So im gonna go with my gut and say, Provodnikov by KO.

After rewatching Provo vs Alvarado I've changed my pick

Used to think Provo would win by KO but, though that is a big possibility, I think rovo is too open and Matthysse will pop him from distance and not engage in a fire fight in close. Matthysse hits the deck and wins a S/D. Set it up for a rematch.

Hard to say, both guys are actually very tough and have never been stopped so in theroy it could go all the way. Then again both are power punchers and the fight can end up at any moment. Having said that, besides tough neither guy is ****** so I dont think they'll get caught with something in the early rounds. My bet is that Matthysse stops Provo in 5-8 round.

Im not gonna pick what guy. Like you said, both guys are real tough guys also all the reasons you mention are spot on. But im gonna pick a 6th round tko or ko. I just see bombs being exchanged and sick counters
