It's interesting to note that this is the first camp where Kirk has watched film of his opponent. We'll find out early if Kirkland has learned something. He can't just try to bulldoze Canelo or he's gonna get lit up. I think Kirk possesses certain qualities that will give Canelo hell, but he needs to be smart about it.
Can't see Canelo standing in front of this guy and trading. He'll do his best version of a repeat performance of the Austin Trout fight. If Kirkland can cut off the ring and get inside on Canelo he has a puncher's chance. Lots of intangibles here including Canelo training out of his home and Kirkland with new people as well. Both men coming off of long lay offs too. Crowd noise should be interesting. I'm expecting a divided crowd with the wildly popular Mexican and the American fighter who is a Texas native. Canelo by UD 117 - 111, 117 - 111, 116 - 112. I'm hoping its a lot closer though...
