Former champion Brandon Rios (33-2-1, 24KOs) is feeling more motivated than ever after destroying Mike Alvarado within three rounds of their trilogy fight on January 24th. Prior to that, Rios picked up a ninth round disqualification victory over Diego Chaves in August.
When Rios received the biggest opportunity of his career, a November 2013 fight with Manny Pacquiao, he was dominated over twelve rounds. He blames his performance on being too overconfident, as Pacquiao was coming off back to back defeats including a vicious knockout at the hands of Juan Manuel Marquez.

Rios might win a round or 2 next time....the gap in skill is insurmountable on Rios' part. Rios will not be able to handle the elite fighters. He does not have the physicality...because all he offers is toughness. He did not hit Pacquiao.
In what world can rios ever underestimate manny. He lost every round and manny didn't even try to hurt him. Rios lost to Alvarez lost to Abril got gift saw manny destroy gym mate way bigger than him with loaded Gloves and he underestimated manny? It was lack of skill not motivation you are a face first bum
Great victory of Rios, Alvarado didn't even trained for the fight with Rios though. Brandon Rios is probably the less intelligent boxer in the game and he shows it not only when he talks but also when he fights with his punching bag style, HE LIKE TO GET HIT IN THE HEAD...... THESE ARE THE RESULTS!!!
