Why Dont You Like GGG? What Has He Done? or Not Done?

I'm not as easilly impressed as you are.idk, since 2007 at least. mayweather and jm marquez are the two boxers i enjoy watching the most. if you think i'm lying for some reason then feel free to check my post history
i am a fan of both black and white boxers, crazy as it sounds
granted he isn't on floyd's level (who is?) but his mastery of offensive boxing is beautiful to watch. the way he cuts off the ring is almost as exciting as the way his punches seem magnetically attracted to his opponent's face. it's possible that ward out-hustles him but apart from that i don't see any plausible opponent who doesn't get flattened; let's just hope that they will all fight him at some point
I always consider the level of competition.
GGG should be beautiful to watch.... in that ghost town of a division.
Golovkin has SERIOUS defensive flaws that have been exposed by far lesser fighters than Ward.
1.He pulls straight back with his hands down
2.Drops his punches to his waist.
3.Poses after he throws.
4.Lays his head over to the side in the punching lane
Ward would be all over that shi.t
Power is good to have but SKILLS pay billsComment

GGG doesn't have to do shi.t to become the face of boxing.trust me when they go through another year of ggg fighting inferior fighters. hbo is gonna get him in a big fight. whether that be cotto, canelo or ward. hbo needs golovkin too beat a star so that he can become the face of boxing and their network. golovkin cant become the face of boxing without a major fight against somebody who is considered a threat. hbo knows this. they are just biding time right now
Look at all the praise he's getting now.
All he is required to do is crush cans on HBO.
HBO and K2 are not about taking chances with GGG.Comment

you cant be the face of boxing if you aren't fighting on ppv. everybody knows that including HBO. a non ppv fighter would never become the face of boxing.
HBO cant wait too get ggg a big fight. they know his style is crowd pleasing and with the right opponents, people will buy his fights.
its not their fault that nobody wants it with him.
they would make the canelo or cotto fight in a heartbeat if either man showed any interest in fighting ggg.
chavez pulled out of a fight with him
froch don't want it
cotto ducking
quillin ducking
ward is the only guy who is willing. and I think ward spanks ggg. but if they fought today it wouldn't be ppv. so hbo isn't gonna make that fight until it is ppv.
canelo is the only ppv name that may fight golovkin and even that's probably a year away.Comment

I agree ward would beat ggg.
but golovkin's middleweight reign is no different than benard Hopkins reign at 160. Hopkins 2 best wins at 160 were against blown up welterweights. their are bums all through Hopkins 20 defenses too be fairComment

ward - golovkin is the fight i'm looking forward to most. nice try, though. No, that's how YOU think. That's why you don't want the Ward fight. I'd love to see Cotto try his luck against GGG. Canelo? I'm not really a fan but It's be a great fight so bring it on.
What about Lara? He's called out GGG many times. GGG would "splatter" him no? Then why hasn't the fight been made? I mean if it's so hard to find opponents and he wants Floyd's 154 title, why didn't he go after Lara who was actually calling him out?
and what about lara? comparing him to mayweather is ridicolous because we both know fighting floyd means you'll get the biggest payday of your life. again, nice try.
besides stylistically lara wouldn't be any threat. to beat golovkin you have to have power. you have to bully the bully.
to beat lara you have to cut the ring off, catch him on the ropes and oh, you have to have power too. and who's excellent at these things?Comment

Hopkins had to deal with some serious punchers along the way.
RJJ being one of them.
At least those blown-up WW's could punch and were champions.
GGG has only had to deal with Curtis Stevens...and he ain't never been shi.tComment

And how many fans liked B-Hop at 160? I surely was not a B-Hop fan when he was at 160. The guys he was beating was uninteresting. He had some good wins like Trinidad, Johnson, De La Hoya, Eastman, but that's about it. It was when he moved up to 175 and schooled Tarver, The Ring 175 champ, that he made fans go "oh ****". Cause even though everyone predicted a KO by Trinidad and Hop was underdog to lose that fight, fans/media moved the goal post on what Hopkins has to do to get love as an ATG.
Problem with GGG is that he doesn't even have a Trinidad at 160. Cotto wouldn't be favored cause he's short, short reach, mid 30s and smaller unlike Trinidad who was 5'11" and used the 160 limit to weigh in for Joppy(Trinidad was 159, 1 pound more than Joppy), good reach, 29 years old. There's no one at 160 to compare to Trinidad or Johnson. It does not matter if GGG is calling out Quillin or Cotto, Quillin is about as proven as GGG and Cotto is too small and doesn't belong at 160.Comment
