That fight will either be in The MGM Grand in Las Vegas or Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Povetkin will be mandatory, meaning if there is no consensus then the fight will go to purse bids. Whoever wins the purse bid decides the venue.

Example, Team Povetkin won the purse bid for the Klitschko fight. Wlad had to go to Moscow to face Povetkin.

Povetkin suffered multiple knockdowns in his 2013 shot at Wladimir Klitschko, and bounced back with solid knockout wins over Manuel Charr and Carlos Takam. Povetkin holds the WBC's silver version of the title at heavyweight.

The WBC had ordered a final eliminator between Povetkin and number two ranked Mike Perez, but there is no word on negotiations for the fight or the fight being ordered by the sanctioning body.

I can't imagine that Haymon can make Wilder vacate the WBC belt. Imo it's not possible, worth toomuch for that, definitely (symbolically) worth a lot more than Quillin'sWBO belt. I can imagine that Povetkin will step aside for a while but I have no doubt that the Perez-Povetkin winner VS Wilder fight will happen in late 2015 or early 2016.

So, Povetkin becomes mando to Wilder yet Wilder is expected to travel to Russia to fight him? I would not be surprised if they ended up fighting in Tuscaloosa, AL in the local high school gymnasium where Wilder went to school.

Well Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Mike Perez is no joke. He can fight. Who's to say It won't be him fighting Wilder.

Either way Wilder will be defending in the United States.

not if someone puts in a bid like that Russian did for the povetkin/klitschko fight. I think they split 24 million. 75/25... then again the US\Russia relationship isn't going well these days & the Russian economy is hurting. it could be a tough sell over there. i'm not sure I would want to go there either...

Povetkin has to beat Mike Perez first. Then he can start making the demands of a mandatory challenger.
