Comments Thread For: Wilder: Jennings Not Ready, He's Not on Klitschko's Level

It’s been a long time since all eyes are back on the heavyweights, and it’s no small coincidence that the extra attention comes with the United States enjoying an intimate reunion with boxing’s historically most storied division.

Deontay Wilder became the first American-born fighter since 2007 to own a piece of the heavyweight title following his 12-round virtuoso performance over Bermane Stiverne earlier in this year in Las Vegas. His win was followed by the confirmation of World heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko bringing his act back to the states for the first time in seven years, as the longtime divisional king will face unbeaten Bryant Jennings on April 25 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Yes, but if not Jennings, then who (that's on Wlad's level)?

First off, no one. That much is clear.

Secondly, it's not like Jennings is the number 1 contender or even has a dominating win vs another top contender.

I'd give Chisora a bigger chance vs Wlad than Jennings. But Wilder, Fury, Povetkin are the best guys behind Fury.

Jennings is on Mike Perez level.

Untill Wlad is beaten. He is on a level of his own

Wlad and the top 10 HW contenders are on 4 different levels

              Level 1 - Wlad Klitschko

              Level 2 - Wilder, Jennings, Povetkin, (Joshua,2016)

Level 3 - Stiverne, Pulev, Perez,

Level 4 - Glazkov, Chagaev, Arreola,

This is true but it's not exactly a revelation.

I don't have any problems with the fight though. I think the heavyweight champion fighting in Madison square garden is great.

Anthony Joshua looks like he could be on Wladimir's level in 1.5-2 years time.

Jennings certainly ain't on Klitschko's level now though. I hope he can catch Klitschko with a lucky punch though.

Its been a war of words between these two for some time. Jennings kinda described Wilder as an Alabama boy who city fans wouldn't rally behind, or bring the division out of the dark ages. I'm pretty sure Wilder didn't appreciate that . A little receipt here of course.
