  • Comments Thread For: David Price: Anthony Joshua Would Be a Brilliant Fight!

David Price insists his fight against Irineu Costa Jnr is the first step on the road to a world title in the middle of next year.

Price is keen to shine on the Paul Smith undercard in Berlin on February 21 before turning his attention to huge domestic battles with Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

The 31-year-old has been out of the ring for almost nine months, suffering various injuries but has said his time away has not been wasted.

Seems confident that he can beat Joshua (apparently dropped or kod joshua in sparring). Needs to build his confidence first otherwise Joshua would take him out. Maybe set it up for next summer if they both get some good wins?

It wouldn't end well for David Price

a win against costa jr will make wlad sit up and take notice. Im guessing wlad would rather fight price than briggs, be easier for him.

Price feels confident cos he put Joshua over in sparring... this i believe was before he won the olympics. its clear to everyone how much Joshua has progressed since then.
With that said, Joshua's chin hasn't been truly tested, so could be a case of who lands first wins.

Who cares about Price anymore? He only looks good against tomato cans. First guy who can punch and he is flat on his back again.

If Thompson KO'd him twice, Joshua will do the same , but much worse! Bad fight for Price.

Joshua would spark him out in a round

Joshua needs to step up, but this might not be the right fight. The risk/reward isn't great... Price is a big puncher with a tarnished chinny image. I reckon Joshua wins it, but there are better fights available.

I can also see Joshua in one...amazing how quick its taken Price to go from prospect of the year ( and I was optimistic too) to a test for another prospect.

not that his careers over, but you know what I mean

I don't know if boxingscene will pull this post, but telegrande.com is awesome for fights...not sure regarding policies about free sites
