Former five division world champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire is ready to face Brazil's William Prado in big ALA Promotions-ABS-CBN fight card at the Mall of Asia arena on March 28.

After a fairly long search for a worthy opponent Donaire's father/ trainer "Dodong" Donaire told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard/ Viva Sports that they had agreed to fight the 31 year old Brazilian who has a record of 22-4-1 with 15 knockouts.

I like how Nathanielsz deliberately fails to mention that Scott Quigg destroyed this Prado guy in 3 rounds.

I love how you deliberately failed to read the article.

Exactly. He gave it his all and even managed to stun the bigger man with his signature left hook at the end of the second round. Sadly that very same punch that gave him an air of confidence would end up sealing his fate since he attempted to finish what he started on the 3rd round and got clipped. From that point on out it Nonito's seconds were counting down and the perfect counter on behalf of Walters finally detonated the time bomb. Nonito went out like a champion, he gave his all and attempted to fight through the KD's but the punishment was too much. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

It's disgusting to see how many posters bash Donaire for no apparent reason. The man has accomplished so much and although he lost twice in the past few years, those losses were only due to his willingness to challenge himself and attempt to prove the doubters wrong. Great fighter.

I thought the TS made an error and that it was supposed to say Nonito is wearing Prada in his March 28 return bout.

                  Prado is Portuguese for Salka.

That may be, but I also remember the Simpimpwe fight where he called his own time outs and got away with the belt based on a technicality...I guess he's not going to honor his word and give Simpimpwe that rematch.
