Jennings is nothing more than a safe record padder to get closer to Louis' records. It reminds me of when Holmes made defenses against the likes of Marvis Frazier and Leon Spinks to try and break Marciano's record. Jennings hasn't any of the tools to give Klit even a good warm up. From what I've seen of him, he really isn't very good at all. No power, average speed, inexperienced and chinny. The fact that he is ranked so highly just goes to show how far the division has fallen.

The April 25th date was supposed to go to Fury but Klit had a major fuss over a nominal amount of money on his fight purse so the fight got sc****d. Personally I believe he is ducking Fury and if he can be granted an extension from the WBO there is a very good chance he never gets into a ring with him.

I want to ask you a rhetorical question....I don't need an answer. I want you to think about how much you heard of Jennings, the postman Vlad fought (I can't even remember his name....seriously) BEFORE he fought Vlad. I know the postman was a mandatory but if thats the case then all the more reason to fight guys with a pulse afterwards.

Suddenly Jennings is being media lionied as a philly fighter who is a brilliant technician yada yada.....First of all no legitimate Philly guy fights as a heavyweight without the ability to savage the body and punch lights out. When the media calls a fighter like this a boxer the translation often enough is "not a real threat to hurt the other guy with a KO."

Anyhow while I care little for the idiots who red K because of differences of opinion I do value your insight which is why I am responding to your post: I hate media manipulation. Vlad and his brother have a history of selling lightly regarded fighters as great threats....Vlad needs to either fight Wilder or Fury both of whom are a legitimate threat....thats what heavy weight champs do.
obviously wlad isn't going to trash the fight by saying Jennings is a no hoper that he'll kayo with ease. he always talk up his opponents in hopes of getting more a$$ in the seats. I agree that Jennings isn't a good opponent but he seems eager to take on wilder for unification and has always faced his mandatories so I doubt very much he'll duck fury. granted,,,if he takes on a soft touch in his next fight instead of fury or wilder I'll jump on your bandwagon but so far I see wlad taking on the best available with the occasional easier fights in between that most other long reigning champs have done in the past

he signed to fight jennings when fury already had a fight lined up. its a stay busy fight. its too premature to say hes ducking fury or wilder. if he doesn't face either one in his next fight then I'll agree with you but Im pretty confident he'll face fury next if he cant get wilder

I've just read that Wladimir's team is actively pursuing Wilder or otherwise Fury both already.

If he finishes up by knocking off all of them man, what a run!

I think it could be a long long time, possibly 100 years maybe even, before we will ever see such relative dominance again.

It would be good for the HW division to get shaken up with a Jennings win, doubt it will happen though.

He seems like a likable, decent, down-to-earth guy who is very focused on his goal of becoming heavyweight champion.

He signed to face Jennings to gain exposure to the American fight fans, the fight appears on HBO as did the Pulev fight, all part of the larger picture in trying to get the WBC belt. If Wilder refuses to fight the champ, Fury is next up on HBO too, it was a three fight deal. I read he was scheduling fights on HBO earning lesser money than RTL would pay so he could crank up the demand on Wilder to face him.

These guys can not seem to comprehend Wlad isn't vacating jack.
