HBO Go is just part of your HBO subscription. That's why before you can use the HBO Go app, they will ask for your cable/satellite account.

What I'm talking about is alittle different.

For HBO GO you still need to pay for HBO thru a cable provider.

The new service there launching is a stand alone service like netflix. Anyone can get if as long as they have decent internet. All the details havn't been released yet but I read about it months ago and should be coming out soon

lol I never got into any of Showtimes shows I always felt Showtime was inferior to HBO from their shows to their boxing.

I'm Donovan is solid tho it has a great cast, but again i never even watch showtime unless its to see boxing, but again since Haymon took all the fighters we even care to watch to the other networks i dont really see why i should pay $75 more just for the hope that showtime finally puts together a good card again.

Also we all can't stand Mauro, and Jim Grey so it might be for the better lol

Exactly bro there was no way in hell to justify the extra $75 a month for showtime.

i mean im get a better quality HD DVR box too and save close to $100 a month for kicking Showtime to the curb.

            exactly!

except i dont see myself adding showtime later i mean the fact that they lost all their star fighters tells me they would probably just have a ton of crappy fights at least for the next year or so.

Sucks that Showtime isn't showing any big names anytime soon, what a waste of the SHOanytime app, especially since you can stream fights live.

I'll be cancelling my cable subscription once my promotional thing is over, I'll take my chance with streams.

They've been giving me the business, so I think I'll return the favor. I'll be removing some of the dust off my XBMC box and plug her back in, :

I almost dropped HBO too but they said they'll give me it free for 2 years so i was like F yeah lol.

I do enjoy the HBO shows as well not just boxing. I like Bill Maher, that Oliver guys show as well, the Silicon Valley show is pretty good too, Newsroom is done tho.

I think HBO will up their boxing programming with Al Haymon stepping up his game it only makes HBO more competitive in putting out the more better fights that we care about.

i never really streamed fights before unless someone here PM's me a good link lol. but those are usually filled with spam and annoying ads popping up nonstop.

I think if more people do what we do and voice our opinion about dropping showtime then they'll get scared and up their game but even so realistically i dont see showtime even able to put a decent fight card together until the next 2 years or so. all the good fights are either on HBO or PBC and whatever network they select.

I have both HBO and Showtime. HBO is stronger since they threw out Al Haymon and started to tie up their best fighters long-term. Showtime's Espinoza still thinks he cannot afford to throw out Al Haymon and that is why he is struggling.

If Less Moonves gives us a fair fight Floyd-Manny without ridiculous advantages for Floyd; like thick gloves, Kenny Bayless, Burt A. Clements, large ring size or high weight limit; I will continue to support Showtime for now. Showtime has resources to give us good fights and I think there will be a few later this year. A few of Al Haymon's boxers might also see the advantage of leaving to fight on Showtime instead of Spike or NBC Sports when they realize that nobody is watching there.

However, after Floyd-Manny I also want Less Moonves to give us Floyd-Gennady or Floyd-MannyII, otherwise I will probably leave, but as long as Less Moonves keeps pressure on Al Haymon I will support Showtime. I am not interested in Al Haymon's mismatches on Showtime, so as long as I don't have to watch them I will continue watching.

We know from before that Al Haymon used the strategy of destroying GBP by using a mole who dismantled GBP from the inside. Now it looks like Al Haymon is using Espinoza in a similar way to dismantle Showtime from the inside because it is unlikely, to me, that Espinoza's weakness only is a result of naiveté, but as long as Less Moonves is involved I believe in Showtime.

Al Haymon will of course open up a war on Showtime now for forcing Floyd to fight Manny, but he can only afford such a war for a very short time (see Spike card on March 13). Showtime should be safe long term as long as they keep Al Haymon's influence to zero.

I support boxing as a sport and have no interest in Haymon destroying it by using WWE as the benchmark for its future.
