No, that's not true. 1st Mayweather v maidana fight, commission didn't approve Maidanas custom gloves. Then Maidana had other gloves that were okd by the Commission. Floyd refused to fight Maidana if he wore these gloves, and that's where the issue arose.
Nothing was in the contract, and pursuant to the contract, Maidana could wear the gloves that were approved by the Commission. Ultimately, it seems that madaina was paid money to wear a different type of gloves immediately prior to the fight.

I'd be suprised if Mayweather didn't put that in the contract now. He wouldn't fight Maidana with commission approved gloves, and once again made himself look cowardly.

I said "nothing was in the contract " about the gloves- so that's not what you've been saying.
the contract did not state what type of gloves could be used.
BUT, if it did, that's even worse! that floyd wouldn't fight Maidana wearing gloves that were approved by commission and specifically set forth in the contract.

Everything that is released at this point or both sides attempting to affect negotiations. HBO released there statement in regards to the principals to the contract need to agree because they know that Showtime will have no leverage once the fight is signed. Hence the reason Floyd is holding off until HBO and Showtime come to an agreement. I personally think they should leave it up to the fans at this point. Release whatever HBO is doing to the public and tell the fans to boycott them just like we are going to boycott Floyd and Manny if the fight does not happen. If the fight does not happen because they are not willing to agree to the same deal they had for Tyson-Lewis just because there fighter is not favored. If this fight goes down in history ownership rights to this fight will be very lucrative. If Showtime could agree to it when the ball was in there favor HBO can do it now. We need to blow up HBO with threats. Especially if Floyd and Manny have met and agreed on everything. I will stream every single HBO and Showtime fight if they were the cause of the fight not happening and everybody is pointing the finger at HBO now.

No, I actually understand you completely. And it has nothing to do with being a manny fan, floyd fan or neither.
Your just wrong about the gloves being in the contract as you were wrong that the glove type is always in the contract.
