    Hall of Fame former referee Joe Cortez, who now works as an expert analyst for ESPN, was very impressed with Amir Khan's twelve round decision win over Devon Alexander from last December.

    Up next? Cortez wants to see Khan face Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) in a rematch. Khan (30-3, 19KOs) fought and beat Maidana by way of a close twelve round decision in a very close and exciting fight in 2010.

    Khan is now chasing a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Cortez, who refereed the British boxer's fight with Maidana, wants to see them mix it up for a second time to determine Khan's value as a future Mayweather opponent. Maidana fought Mayweather twice in 2014, losing two twelve round decisions.

              Chino could be 4th in line but for Amir its Floyd, Manny and Brook in that order. Loses to Floyd and Manny easy but it's a real toss up between him and Brook. The Maidana that fought Floyd with Ariza in the corner (first fight) would have stopped Khan. However the second version of Maidana against Floyd gets Alexander'd.

                          this, khan's fans remember only the first round. cortez play a major role in the definition of the fight like it or not.

                              Maybe Khan should demand that Maidana wear them pillow gloves. That may help prevent the KO possibility. It worked for Floyd. Maybe add Kenny STOP STOP Bayless too for good measures.
