that mythical sparring ah... if i remember canelo was like 21 when that happened and ggg was already like 28 , so if anything canelo has gotten stronger(grown) and has gained lots of experience with difficult fights, cant say the same for ggg, from what i know the sparring was kind of close with ggg being the stronger fighter , but ggg admitted after that sparring that canelo is the best fighter he is ever been with in a ring, anyways i feel that hbo wont let it happen this year, too much money invested in both fighters, but it will happen next year and that only benefits canelo , hopefully he will be a full grown mw on his prime by the time they fight...
but by no means canelo is afraid of ggg, he even said that the fight can happen now, but that ggg will have to come down a little ...
looking forward for this fight too...

Easy fight for Canelo. Kirkland has glass and Canelo will shatter it with ease plus its a face first brawler and like Angulo, slow plodding and tailor made for the red headed.

            Canelo stops him.

I never said that. You did. So you think he's scared of shell up clottey?

kirkland doesn't have glass. he is prone to being caught early when he's cold but he was only stopped once and it was a quick stoppage which he could have recovered from had it been allowed to continue. kirkland is not shot like angulo. canelo should look spectacular early on but he is going to be in a real fight after a few rounds if he doesn't score the early stoppage. and i don't think he will.

They should just fight at 160, the 155lb Canelo division won't give him an edge since Kirkland takes off alot to make 154. It would be better if both fighters are fresh and at full power during the fight.
