I honestly don't think Benn was as hard a hitter as Kessler. He wasn't the same kind of 1 punch KO artist.

Mclellan is obviously a moot point. I mean, the guy had 1 fight and 1 loss, however tragic it was. So he could have quite possibly have been the most devastating super middleweight ever, but it didn't pan out that way.

Kessler is certainly near the top but I personally think both Benn and McClellan hit harder.

Bute's left hand is a bigger shot than anything Kessler has in his arsenal. Abraham is actually a one punch KO artist, maybe not now because he's finished but in his prime, he hits harder than Kessler. Froch would probably tell you that.

Kessler's power isn't even that much better than a Groves or Dirrell in all honesty. They probably shook Froch more than Kessler ever did.

Just checked boxrec and Green fought at LHW in his last fight too. Don't know if he's fighting at cruiser now.

Who has he put out with one punch? Allan Green who has been completely dead at the weight for years. Green got put out by a grazing blow from Glen Johnson.

There was never any point in 24 rounds with Kessler where I was ever worried about Froch getting knocked out whereas my arse was clenched throughout the whole Abraham fight and the Bute fight even though he was dominating. I think that's the litmus test for power

Hmm, what about when Kessler had Froch going in the 7th and 12th round of the first fight? Or when he needed just a tad more energy to finish him in the 11th of their second fight?

Neither Bute or Abraham had that effect on Froch at all. Maybe you had that feeling because Froch was coming off losses both times he fought those guys.

Not to mention, Kessler was easily a couple of years removed from his prime both times he fought Froch.

Meh....seemed like Beyer jacked it as soon as he took a couple of solid shots. He probably could have got up there but didn't want any more at his age age.
