Jennings will probably do well for a few rounds, but Take-A-Dive Scott's High recommendation does nothing for him.

your picture looks very familiar....Let's get real here. Jennings is a no hoper just like most of Klitschko's opposition to date. Klitschko to this day even with the help of Steward is a very flawed and vulnerable fighter. He is upright and stiff, doesn't throw combinations, zero inside game, no bodypunching lacks variation in his attack, can barely go 10 secs without engaging in a clinch and his chin is still as glassy as the night Sanders did a demolition job on him. He is just lucky that he doesn't have any great fighters to compete with in this era. Imagine if he had a young Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield or Rid**** Bowe as his mandatory. Deary me. His brother was a much better fighter than him and would have easily beaten him.Comment

Oh wow, touch touchy... someone hit a nerve. Where did that rant come from? Some of you guys over on the western side of the Atlantic never cease to amaze me with your ridiculous racial stereotypes.
Seems like every single ethnic group under the western sun can pull one out of the hat to suit their own agenda.
I thought the "athleticism" steotype was reserved for blacks. But let me guess, you yourself are Hispanic, yeah?
And the "sorry azz stiffs" you refer to are all going to be white, non-hispanic Europeans, correct?
The race talk on this site is ridiculous. Easiest card to pull. All the blacks [allegedly] hate the Hispanics [and now] Filipinos; All the Filipinos [allegedly] hate Blacks because of Mayweather, all the whites [allegedly] hate the blacks and the blacks, hispanics and filipinos [allegedly] all hate the Whites because everyone between the shade of light tan to dark brown thinks Klit sucks.
Wish we could just talk about boxing to be honest...Comment

I just don't see Jennings posing any sort of threat in this fight. As much as I would love to see him take down Clinchko, it's just not gunna happen. Klitoris loses to either a Fury or Wilder, aka a Big man with a big punch. Skill alone won't be enough to beat him, I believe it will take brawn, raw brute strength.Comment

Anyone know who the undercards are? Considering attending this one but not sold on the main event. Thanks.Comment

Jennings will put up a good fight. He's an undefeated fighter, Coming off 12 rounds with another tough Heavyweight in Mike Perez. He will come to the ring in great shape, Ready to fight.
Wlad will be the favorite but I think Jennings could cause him some problems. Not an easy fight.Comment

Jennings is an ok boxer with average skills. Despite his long reach his jab is not very good, he is not particularly fast and most importantly he is not a hard puncher. In his last fight against the skillful but poorly conditioned Perez, he was being outboxed through midway and only go the W because the opponent was not in great shape. He is very green and hasn't the experience for a big fight. I expect Wladimir to knock him out by mid rounds.Jennings is an excellent boxer, one of the reachiest, most athletic boxers Klitschko has ever faced with a great record and solid all around skills.
His is quite stiff and upright and as such it is self evident if one watches a number of his fights. Lennox Lewis was for the most part a smooth moving big HW, Vitali decently as well. Wladimir is not in the slightest.Klitschko is not upright and stiff, his movements are fluid and he is like a big cat.
No he is just incapable of throwing a wide array of punches. Just jab, grab, straight right, left hook. That's it.Combinations are not required by Klitschko (and are of minimal use at HW in general)
No he simply has no idea of how to box in close. He resorts to attempting to clinch or to illegally push down the back of the neck of the opponent when they get by his jab. It just shows how limited his boxing arsenal is.Inside game is a sign of bad boxing, not good boxing. Clinching is part of boxing (only the Povetkin fight was too much).
Wladimir does not have good punch resistance, even by his own admission. He has been knocked down something like 13 times. Wladimir is weak to the left hook/straight esp from southys who can disguise it better than orthodox fighters. Sanders just exposed this weakness, it is a weakness that even through efforts to mitigate it, is still always there. A prime example being in his fight with Ibragimov, a southy who had a quick and powerful left hook. In that fight he stunk out the joint an refused to engage. Every time he saw Iggy load up with his left he backed off two or three paces. Even against Thompson in their first fight he had big problems recognizing the left hand coming far more so than the right.Sanders caught Klitschko unprepared, a prepared Klitshko could have beaten him and a Steward Klitschko would beat him easy.
Wladimir has a strong chin, he could not have otherwise. Sanders is the only guy in 66 fights to have stopped him with punch power and there was a massive headbutt involved, Sanders is a puncher and he still got up several times and finished on his feet!
Wladimir in his career has very seldom/possibly never fought an opponent with the handspeed and accuracy of Corrie Sanders. He has never met another with the punching power of Sanders. Not another opponent with the deadly accurate counterpunching ability.
Against the Sanders that showed up that fateful night in Germany, most likely any version of Wladimir gets knocked out, unprepared, prepared or any other excuse. Possibly he could try to recreate the strategy he used against Iggy and try to *****foot his way to a decision. I doubt this would work as Sanders was much better than Iggy.
To put this into perspective a fat out of shape sanders that Hadn't fought in nearly a year and a half and came in with a serious back injury gave a prime Vitali the hardest fight of his career outside of Lennox Lewis. Arguably he was the only one to knock Vitali down.
It is with good reason that Wladimir and his promoter Universum never attempted to get a rematch from Sanders.
He doesn't fight on the inside, throw body punches and excessively clinches to avoid getting his chin cracked. Against the last opponent who was a hard puncher, he held on for dear life whenever he got close. Engaged in something like 189 clinches. Really he should have been DQ'd. These are the kind of tactics he pulls to eliminate all risk of his chin being tested.
He would have been knocked out mid rounds no later against either one. He may have been able to edge his brother on points after his fight with Adamek when he was showing serious signs of aging.I think current/recent Wlad could have beaten Vitali or LEnnox.
He wouldn't have "handily beaten" any of those guys. Prime Tyson closes distance far too fast, slips the jab too well and is too much of a murderous body and head puncher.I would imagine Wladimir would have handily beaten Tyson or Bowe (Tyson being the biggest challenge) and I don't think Evander Holyfield could have done any better than what Jennings is about to!
Young Bowe quite probably had the best inside game of any big HW ever. If Wladimir uses his Jab and grab routine he gets his head knocked off.
Even an old Evander took a prime Lewis to the wire in their rematch.Last edited by Southern Sniper; 02-04-2015, 02:17 AM.Comment

This is a great post. If you love Heavyweights and actually watch the Heavys, you would notice this. I laugh at the absurd claims that Wlad have 'never looked better' and is 'in his prime right now'. That's a joke. Wlad's best was actually against the likes of Sultan/Ruslan/Haye. Despite looking boring, he also looked unbeatable. Haye(a more dangerous fighter than Pulev) was barely able to land anything. Wlad looked flawed against Povetkin and Pulev. He looked tired out by round 6 against Povetkin and had to resort to some horrendous leaning/clinching and against Pulev he was hit by some hard jabs and hits that really surprised me. Father Time is right on the door steps. I will say Wlad at this stage is exactly where Lennox Lewis was when he fought Vitali. Still very good but definitely past his best. I expect Wlad to get knocked out sometimes in the next 4 fights.the one thing in Jennings favor is wlad is really getting up there in age and he could really go downhill fast at any time. I noticed wlad getting hit with punches from pulev that hed easily have avoided just a few years ago. don't think Jennings has the pop to take advantage of that but we shall see. I think wlad is going to get stopped soon if he doesn't retire before long. father time is calling. his reflexes have slowed someComment

First "Wish we could just talk about boxing to be honest..." (which I very much agree with) and then
So, are you a boxing fan or just a childish hater? Canīt be both. You still got one thing right: Wlad will never lose on points and he only eats the occasional one punch at a time so along with skill one would have to carry some serious punching power to have a chance. So, Jennings is not the one to do it.I just don't see Jennings posing any sort of threat in this fight. As much as I would love to see him take down Clinchko, it's just not gunna happen. Klitoris loses to either a Fury or Wilder, aka a Big man with a big punch. Skill alone won't be enough to beat him, I believe it will take brawn, raw brute strength.Comment

Strange post here. You ask me "where did that rant come from?" then start ranting yourself about the very same thing that rattled my cage - racial stereotypes in boxing. I find them annoying, get it?Oh wow, touch touchy... someone hit a nerve. Where did that rant come from?
