Yup, I cant blame Arum for anything related to the holdup when I dont know really know what's going on.

My only issue is he keeps speaking up with half-truths or full out lies, which serve no other purpose than to make Mayweather look bad.

Arum got word directly from Pacquiao and Koncz that Mayweather was indeed genuine about wanting the fight. Allowing them to finally start working torwards making a contract. Its a long complicated contract of course its going to take time.

Whether Floyd would admit it or not both he and Manny will be on unfamiliar ground when they face each other. Fights fcking huge. Bigger than any fight either has ever been a part of.
Don't wanna over train or longer your in camp more likely a injury can occur don't need neither of those happening so people can start the bs of this guy faking a injury because he scared etc

      • It doesn't seem like the fight is getting made.

Bob seems to be cool with Moonves. Apparently Moonves has already blocked Haymon off the channel, so hopefully he sees this charade and fires Espinoza and cancels Floyd's Showtime deal.

At least some good for the fans will come out of it, bigger budget for fights we want to see, no more Mayweather mismatches and the Haymon mole eliminated.

As far as the agreed upon terms, Arum admits there are unresolved issues between the fighters and the networks. Mayweather has an exclusive contract with CBS/Showtime and Pacquiao fights under Time Warner/HBO. The networks are also negotiating on their end with problems related to the broadcast terms and which of them will obtain the lucrative rights to the delayed broadcast.

I see Arum is having a hell of a time coping with not being in charge of everything and having everything done when he wants it done.

^He signed everything doesn't mean he signed a contract, when you negotiate you sign off on things and than wait for the other side to sign off on every thing, than your lawyers hash out a contract with their lawyers they send them over and both guys sign the contract.

You haven't caught on to the fact that Bob likes to keep his fights IN HOUSE? That way he controls EVERYTHING.

It has nothing to do with his ethnicity, and everything to do with the way he does business.

Pacquiao fought JOSHUA CLOTTEY FFS. You think that fight would of happened if Clottey was with a different promoter.

            lulz
I knew all Along that Arum made that **** up about pacquiao being scared of needles, but not one Floyd fan would listen, I told them show me where Pacquiao said he was scared of needles, they just kept repeating it, later Alex Ariza came out and said Arum made up the BS.

Arum wanted to milk his cash cow and build up the super fight but he waited too long, also I believe Arum fixed that Bradley fight because he wanted to transfer the power to Bradley but it backfired on him.

The problem here is you are thinking everything is on Arum, nope, its both of them, you seem to forget the fearful rants from Floyd and his father and Floyd saying yes pacquiao you are next only to tell a reporter he is lying dont put words in his mouth.

You also seem to forget Floyds constant OCD and paranoia, the man revealed after the Guerrero fight how he picks opponents. His rant about how Pac could walk over Cotto and take his shots and his health coming first.

Floyds not a dumb guy, he came out of retirement to ride Pacs coattails and waited for Pac to lose, Arum also didnt care he wanted to milk Pac for all he is worth. The excuse of Bob arum was always a new BS, that excuse never came up before until recently if Arum was the reason why no mention in the first go arounds of him why negotiate with him, and for Floyd fans saying well he doesn't want ARum to make money, well why does Floyd do business with a man who hates him 100 times more than Arum in Oscar de la hoya, golden boy signed Floyds checks and made money off him. And Oscar was way more slanderous than Arum.

Another thing Im of the train of thought of Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr., If you dislike someone Beat their fighter and cash cow that is the best way to destroy them. Floyd could have easily destroyed Pac, but when that dying make a wish kid asked Floyd I want you to fight Pacquiao, Floyd said he was going on vacation so I guess that means he want the fight just like now silence and Vacation right that means he wants it.

Also the inhouse only for Arum only happened after Arum got stabbed in the back by Richard, Richard Shaeffer the slime ball is the guy who said he will never do business with Arum. I believe Arum is the easy scape goat. When Floyd retired Richard Shaeffer had no other cash cow left, so he had to kiss Arums butt again and apologize so they could work with Arum, So if Arum only does in house fights why did he do co promotions with golden boy? Arum could have been like Haymon and only put Haymon fighters against each other, but Pacquiao fought mostly golden boy fighters Oscar, Hatton, Marquez, also Top rank put Pavlik in with Hopkins, and MArgarito in with Mosley, all co promotions it wasn't until Floyd came out of retirement and Richard showed his true colors again and didn't need Arum anymore so he started slandering Pacquiao and ARum, that is when the relationship got truly destroyed like the saying goes fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Arum didn't want to do business with them again. But when Arum was open to work with Oscar again who is the one who shot that down? Richard Shaeffere he said he will never do business with Arum, and he was basically screwing Oscar over and supporting Haymon vs Haymon fighters.

he put together some of the biggest fights in history with guys who he was enemies here.

Also Arum put Chavez Jr in with Sergio Martinez not an in house fight.

HBO said the principals hold up the fight, Koncz said if the fight doesn't happen its up to the fighters, Showtime will never talk **** on the sensitive diva Floyd so they won't say Floyd THEIR guy is holding the fight up, and in this case SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN.

You also left out if Arum is the problem why was there no mention of him being the problem during the meeting with Manny? Floyd also sending that 40 million to Pac over the phone is unethical business, Pac is not going to accept anything without Arums consent because Pac F'd up last time when he took the 200k suitcase of cash from Richard and Oscar.

When it all comes down to it, Arum can keep talking but he has no power here, the only one who is in the power position now and always has been is Floyd Mayweather. Floyd is the only man who can make this fight happen nobody else. If he wants it he will demand it, and why would you praise him being silent going on vacation?

Some people on here saying you need no promotion for this fight is also laughable. The biggest fight in history yet you won't even let them film the standard press tour, or 24/7 or commercials or go on media interviews, SOME OF THE BIGGEST BLOCKBUSTER movies still do press tours in fact they do heavy extensive press tours of promotion. The Superbowl also has heavy heavy promotion and build up and that is a guaranteed rating machine.

Its kinda hard to sign a contract when you went on a Vacation, Floyd also said before on some radio show that a super fight need time to build up and months to promote so I dont get why people are saying ARum is full of **** and this fight needs no promotion, promotion and marketing will build extra hype.

The fight is huge already but the extra push and hype will get even more casuals to order.

Arum isn't the only one who said this needs to be done soon, everyone and their momma has said this. Floyd fans were saying wait till the superbowl, I knew that was BS, well no announcement. I wanted the fight done weeks ago, because I want BOTH fighters well rested, and well trained, with a long camp not a short rushed training camp.

Floyd is the main guy in control the fate of the fight lies in his hands. I hope he signs if he doesn't the majority of people are going to blame him regardless.

First, you have no proof of this, except what the biggest known liar in boxing (Arum) has said.

Second, if a girl I like texts me, I never reply immediately. I make her wait. They love that. One of them actually said to me "I was so intrigued and angry at the same time that you made me wait." Lovely.

Finally, never reply to someone (women) who is pursuing you quickly, even if you love them.

Floyd must know how to read to know this. Same rules apply here.

              Cheers.

Three comma Joe also took him for $15m.

Floyd never wanted the Pac fight, as long as he could get away with avoiding it he will do so. But he's going to lose that May 2nd date if negotiations keep going the way they are and it seems to be important to him, primarily I think for ego reasons.

Are Showtime really going to sign off on Cotto-FMJ going up against Canelo-Kirkland? They're going to take another financial L if that happens.

Poor comparison. This is business and there are deadlines. Like Pac and Floyd are playing the dating game....everyone and their mothers want to see this fight.

You don't know what those deadlines are. Typically, Floyd announces his May opponent in another week or two. So there is time, even if Arum can't handle being the lesser party in negotiations.
