HBO didnt just come out of the blue. Several writers have speculated whether or not HBO wants the fight now or to wait a year when they dont have to deal with Showtime. Its clearly a response to that.

But why bother responding if everything is good on their end? Particularly in the new climate that has been fostered in the last week or so.
And if it where on the fighter now to agree to terms, why would they even potentially mess up what seems to be the most progressive talks in years?

Please stop it with the small minded BS. It way more complicated then "Floyd dose not want to fight". You got a **** ton of money and every one trying to get the best results for them self's. On top of that all these guys have burned each other for big money in the past, so nobody want to play nice.
This fight is damn near impossible to make and no one person is going to be the blame if it falls through so cut it out with that low level let's find a scapegoat type of thinking.

Posters like this want the fight to fall through because for them, Floyd bashing is better than the fight happening.

I think they're speaking about all those involved in the negotiation. And what they're saying is that all principals (meaning HBO too) need to come to an agreement. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

I dont think it will exactly mess up negotiations. Everyone involved besides them has spoken up and its only fair for them to defend themselves as well.

I do question their motives. Was it just to defend themselves or a preemptive move to shift blame elsewhere?

Yeah, they said the principals. Sounds like the network heads and promoters i.e. the people negotiating.

What HBO is saying is that the issue is not them and they are ready to go. Since they are ready to go, the principles are Floyd and Manny. Since Manny has agreed to the initial demands, it means that Floyd is still not in agreement with something.

**** are you talking about. 1. I am a Floyd fan and 2. I have not thought this fight any closer to happen then in 2009.
My whole message is everybody shut the **** up while the only people who need to do the talk, talk to each other with out the media and the pressure to get the fight done. I want this fight and for just a moment there it looked like everyone was trying something new to get us closer to this fight.
