So is here anything to look forward?

Towards the end of 2014, there was huge optimism for 2015, Cotto/Canelo seemed a very good likelihood, Wilder v Stiverne was still something to look forward to, Floyd/Manny was looking hopeful and there was a lot of talk about guys like Frampton/Walters/Donaire/Quigg/Kovalev/Stevenson....yet everything has dried up. Cotto/Canelo looks dead in the water, Frampton/Quigg is still at least 2 fights away, there's no word on Walters/Crawford' future and Manny/Floyd has gone back to he said, she said lol

Is there anything to look forward to this year? There hasn't been any major announcement? I know it's only January but this year is looking dead thus far. I can only think of the NBC cards over in the US and a handful of ok-ish cards here in the UK. Unless Klitschko v Wilder happens or Fury, then it'll be a huge waste of the WBC belt too.

Guys get my hopes up, tell me some announcements to look forward to.

Doom and gloom much? Jan feb have never been big boxing months. March is stacked from head to toe and April cards are shaping up.

Canelo/Cotto is replaced by Canelo/Kirkland which is still a great fight.

Floyd/Pac who cares. I want to see it. Everybody does, but if you were banking your 2015 on that I feel for you.

Have you considered networks are waiting to after the Floyd v Manny fight to plan the rest of the year since that fight dominates the public conscience and would overshadow all else?

Still looks like it will be a great year. Disappointing Canelo-Cotto fell through but it could be revisited later in the year. Mayweather-Pacquiao was always "Ill believe it when I see it" and it still looks like it might happen. Despite that some great fights have already been made and others will as well.

I dont know much about the UK boxing scene but it doesnt seem like much is happening there, so maybe you would be disappointed with that.

I feel the same way but not because of Pacquiao vs Mayweather, I never got my hopes up for that one, but because Cotto vs Canelo didn't happen. That would have been a great fight, had the proper buildup, and in my opinion a 60-40 fight which is much better than a lot of the mismatches we get nowadays. This is boxing though, so I should know better.

              Mathysse vs Provodnikov: Great fight
Broner vs this years opponents: meh I guess
Cotto vs Canelo or Bradley? Maybe Floyd in September?
              Mayweather vs Pacquiao: pending
Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2: likely if first one gets made for May 2nd
Klitschko vs Jennings: decent for a Klitschko fight
Wilder vs Fury: sometime this year hopefully
Froch vs JCC Jr: IMO not likely but maybe
Peterson vs Garcia: overdue but great fight
              Guerrero vs Thurman: Great fight
              Maidana vs a top welterweight
Andre Ward is looking to make a come back
GGG and his continued destructive path through middleweight
              Canelo vs Kirkland: Great fight
David Haye likely to make some sort of comeback
Khan vs Brook: Hopefully sometime this year

GGG is coming up and Lucas Matthysse vs Ruslan Provodnikov should be good too. I'm sick of all this Mayweather and Pacquiao bs. Garcia Peterson isn't bad either. I hope Danny Knocks his ass out.
