Sad that Ward won't honour his word.

It was a good innings, champ. Some great knockouts and superb memories.

Actually, Kessler is trying to say that Andre Ward wouldn't travel to Denmark and fight him for a big purse? I can't believe this...

          Yes.

No need to let this drag on. Retiring on the back of a close loss to a great fighter in his homecountry, is not a bad way to go. A shame that Ward wouldn't give a rematch and that Froch wouldn't keep his promise of a decider.

Happy retirement 5 time SMW champion and greatest danish Pro fighter in modern history. Mikkel Kessler.

Great to see Mikkel calling it quits now whilst he did lose his last fight it was at a high championship level and he gave it a great effort. Enjoy the retirement champ

                Typical Kessler.

Can't adjust to a new situation so he quits.

Godspeed champ. Not the luckiest of comebacks, but at least I'm glad he did it on his "own" terms pretty much!

This is why Kessler is a huge draw and no one cares about Ward. Kessler only wants the biggest hardest fights at 36 after a long lay off. Ward, 30, wants to extort HBO for another multi million dollar tune up fight against a bum.
