Comments Thread For: Beterbiev: Pascal With Good Shot To Beat Sergey Kovalev

Light heavyweight contender Artur Beterbiev (7-0, 7KOs) is giving his training stablemate, Jean Pascal, a very good shot to defeat WBO/WBA/IBF champion Sergey Kovalev on March 14th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Beterbiev and Pascal share the same trainer and at times they prepare side by side. The up and coming fighter also face, and beat, Kovalev in the amateurs.

Remember Artur, the pro game is nothing like the amatures.Last fight you got dropped by an unknown, and managed to get up. If that was kovalev,it would have been night night. Kovalev is coming for pascal,Stevenson and Artur,in that order. Maybe Andre ward can get some too,if he makes good on his 2011 promise of moving up to light heavy.

Artur, Just because you train at the same gym as Adonis Stevenson, it doesn't mean that you must also become jealous of Sergey. Be patient, and you may someday get your chance to be champion; in the meantime, be careful that Adonis doesn't start pimping you out. He like to do that if he can.

He was pushed to be fair, neither punch landed.

Kovalev will fight him though, neither guy is scared of the other.

Real talk,do you think it will be an all out war,and the first one that lands clean wins? Or do you think its going to be overhyped like wilder vs stivern, and it turns into a 12 round snoozer, with neither guy willing to throw, for fear of being caught with a big shot?

The question is will the Promoter bad blood spill over.

Main Events got burned, and they want the WBC belt.

No doubt GYM will push Bieber with no assurance of the WBC again

I think it ends in under 6 rounds, tentative start but one of them will get caught with a big shot and they'll go to war. Will be great fight but I don't see it happening in 2015.

              Edit: assuming you mean Beterbiev-Kovalev

Main Events wanted to make Beterbiev-Chilemba so I don't think they're holding grudges. Not sure if GYM are.

ME seems cool with making fights.... GYM not so much to me. The argument against Chilemba/Bieterbiev was he's fighting feb.... but now he's fighting April.

Artur just wants to be the only fighting pride of Russia, soaking up all the glory. Kovalev takes pascal out in under 6 rounds....
