Floyd is already an ATG, arguably the best of his era and one of the best defensive fighters ever.

So his legacy is set in that regard.

But if the Pacquaio fight doesn't happen it will always be a question that asked.

The thing is why can't anyone from the actual Mayweather camp respond to this without vilifying Pacquiao? hahaha....I mean, it would have been better to say that "Mayweather's legacy is intact even before this megafight".

Both fighters are great already, true! But in the eyes of boxing fans, afficionado, journalists and many boxers also - Mayweather ducking Pacquiao is pretty much the general consensus.

If the fight never happens, it will indeed haunt Floyd for the rest of his life. After retirement, he will always be asked "why didn't you fight Pacquiao?". If he's on tv or walking on the street, he will be asked for the rest of his life. And of course, he will have no choice but to blame everyone, except himself. He'll have to hire a PR firm to come up with different answers every year forever.

I believe that every single one of the Mayweather's are ******ED. They are a bunch of bogus and unrealistic idiots. Manny was a HOF'mer before he fought Oscar. His reign as a welterweight made him an ATG and LEGEND. Floyd is jealous of Manny just like Roidquez was. Manny came to Floyd's division when he retired, and took it over. He fought guys Floyd wouldn't have dreamed of fighting at that time. He kept boxing alive. Does anyone ever give him credit for that? Nope. Floyd doesn't have a prime opponent like a Morales, Barrera, or Roidquez on his resume. who is Floyd's best win? Corrales. Exactly. Why is he considered an ATG???? Based on what? He's a mere HOF'mer who doesn't deserve to be mentioned with the boxing gods. He's a coward. He's just a prize fighter. He isn't built like Manny. Manny is a fighter at heart and that's the difference between them.

Thanks. I just think that enough is enough. Common sense tells us who is at fault if this fight doesn't happen, just like before. Manny has proven that he's wiling to risk it all against the very best. Floyd is a bully who thinks twice when challenged. He's a great fighter but doesn't have the resume to brag about being the greatest, or the best even. This entire Showtime contract/fights have been a joke. He has conned the fans for years. Ortiz? The Ghost? Maidana. Twice!? A drained Canelo?????? Okay. We deserve this fight, win or lose. It's enough of his antics and talking. He's trashed talked Manny racially and with the steroid claims, for years. Now it's time to take his beating like a man.

Perhaps the Mayweather still worry about what's going to happen if Floyd finally fight Manny. They keep saying it's an easy fight for Floyd yet they don't want him on his resume? If Floyd fought Canelo, Cotto, Ghost, Ortiz, and other fighter not even close on Manny's status as P4P número dos, why not give number two his shot?

Floyd legacy is secure and a 1st ballot HOFer that's for sure, but wherever he goes he will get booed, and people will chant Manny's name like they did in Clippers game. Have you hear people booed or chant "fight Floyd" whenever they show Manny's face on the big screen?
